How and what personal data do we collect?
Đakovačka vina d.d. depending on the legal basis, processes personal data such as: name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number, delivery address, IP address, data about the device with which you accessed our website.
When you access our website www.djakovacka-vina.hr, we collect and process certain data that you have automatically sent to us so that your browser can display our website and so that you can use it. This information is collected automatically every time you access our website and saved as records on a server located in the cloud of the AWS Cloud platform. This data does not refer to you, but to your computer system and the computer with which you access it (these are the IP address, which is also considered personal data, the date and time of page access, the URL from which consent was submitted, anonymous, random and encrypted key value, user consent state…).
We collect and process your personal data based on the legal bases and purposes listed below:
- Consent
It is applied in cases where you approve (give consent) that we process your personal data for the intended purposes:
- when you approve that we and our partners (Cookiebot, Facebook, Google Analytics, You Tube, MailerLite) place and subsequently read cookies and other similar technologies on your device for the purpose of:
– more functional access to our website (functional cookies)
– providing relevant marketing content (marketing cookies)
– statistical data collection (analytical/statistical cookies)
– embedding and enabling plugins for social links (so-called “social plugin”) on our websites that enable you to access, connect and flow your personal data with websites from Facebook, Instagram
- when you like our Facebook and Instagram page or when you enter your comments or send us messages in order to communicate with us (we collect data that you have made available to us when communicating with us)
- when you enter your additional personal data in order to provide you with a better product delivery service (product delivery address, phone number)
- when you communicate with us via e-mail to submit and receive a response to your complaint
- when you enter your personal data so that we can send you newsletters about our products and services
You are not obliged to provide your personal data according to the above-mentioned legal basis, but in case you do not allow us to process your personal data, we will not always be able to provide you with access and/or equally high-quality content of our website and/or provide you with a certain benefit.
- Fulfillment of the contract
It is applied in cases where you provide us with your personal data necessary for taking actions before or during the conclusion and fulfillment of the contract, i.e. for the sale and delivery of our product:
- when you sign up to participate in a prize game/competition and enter your personal data (name and surname, e-mail, phone number, address), we process your data exclusively for the purpose of realizing the prize game/competition.
If necessary, we will ask for additional information, which will be defined by the rules of the prize game/competition. We will delete the collected data after 120 days have passed since the announcement of the winner.
- Legitimate interest of society
It is applied in cases of:
- when we process your personal data in order to achieve our legitimate interests, e.g. (improving our website, improving our products, preventing fraud, securing our tools/instruments/devices/systems)
- in order to provide general marketing content
If you do not want to allow us to process your personal data on this basis, we suggest that you do not use our website.
- In order to comply with the company’s legal obligations
It applies when we process your personal data to fulfill our legal obligations or requirements:
- receiving and responding to your complaints, and executing product complaints based on your complaint
- maintaining and keeping records of consumer complaints
In accordance with the applicable legal regulations, we are obliged to process your personal data for the stated purposes.
Minors

- website maintenance and IT services (Schwarz Studio, a business for intellectual services.)
- providers of the so-called Cloud service (AWS)
- marketing partners who provide respondents with marketing content on our behalf or help us process marketing content, e.g. Google, Facebook, You Tube
We may transfer and/or disclose your personal data to third parties who in certain cases also act as data controllers, e.g.:
- when you give us permission through cookies to install and enable plugins for social networks (the so-called “social plugin”) on our Internet pages, which enable you to access, connect and flow your personal data with websites from Facebook and Instagram. When Đakovočka vina d.d. collects information about you, we ensure that your personal data is protected from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access to personal data that is transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.
Đakovačka vina d.d. implements security measures to protect the personal information you share with us, including physical, electronic and procedural measures.
The collected data is in electronic form and protected by an SSL certificate that encrypts the data and thus ensures that communication between the Customer’s or User’s computer and www.djakovacka-vina.hr takes place using a secure protocol.
- Storage and preservation of your personal data
We store your personal data for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which the personal data were collected, to fulfill our legal obligations or to protect our legitimate interests and rights. The length of storage of your personal data depends, among other things, on:
- of our legal obligations with that personal data
- fulfillment of our contractual obligations to you
- withdrawal of your consent
- Your specific request regarding your personal data
- our legitimate interests
- our defense of any legal claim or realization of any of our claims
We keep all your objections and claims in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act for 12 months from the date of receipt of the objection or claim. If a lawsuit is initiated, we will keep your personal data until the final conclusion of that legal process.
After the expiration of the storage period for your personal data, we will delete it.
