The tradition goes back centuries. The first traces of vines in these areas date back to the time of the Roman emperors, who are said to have brought the first vines and started the winemaking story that would shape this region. According to the records of our vineyard, the first vines were planted in the 13th century. , during the reign of the Đakovo bishops, which marked the beginning of our wine heritage.
The characteristic climate of Đakovo provides ideal conditions for viticultural production, where the careful distribution of precipitation and optimal temperatures during the growing season encourage exceptional physiological development of the vines, resulting in high quality grapes.
The vineyards are located at an altitude of approximately 200 meters, with exposures that stretch from the southeast to the southwest. Most of our locations are characterized by a gentle slope, creating optimal conditions for growing vines.
Through careful selection of the location, taking into account the exposure, altitude and slope of the terrain, our winery is dedicated to preserving authenticity and terroir. The vine culture encompasses most of the suitable locations, creating a unique symbiosis between the natural characteristics of the terrain and the premium wines we produce.
